SES Americom has contracted Bob's Satellite Specialist to perform upgrades to its monitoring sites for the newly launched AMC 15 and 16 Ka/Ku Band space craft. The monitoring sites are to be used to help keep track of performance of the newly launched Ka band Beam system transmissions.

Upgrades to the sites will include the installation of newly developed KA band Lnb's from Orbital Research, TDR Cable sweeps, software checks, and operational tests at each of the SES locations across the United States. Site upgrades will start in May of 2005 and will be completed as soon as possible over the next several weeks.

Bob's Satellite Specialist was involved in the installation of several of the sites before the new Ka Satellites were launched. Bob's Satellite Specialists works closely with SES Americom as a trouble shooting, service, and installation provider.
